Los Angeles Rams and American Heart Association Team Up to Save Lives Through CPR and AED Training

The collaboration between the Los Angeles Rams and the American Heart Association marks a significant step forward in addressing a pressing public health issue: the high mortality rate associated with cardiac arrests outside of hospital settings. By conducting comprehensive CPR and automated external defibrillator (AED) training for representatives from 22 local schools at the Rams' locker room in SoFi Stadium, the initiative directly tackles the lack of immediate CPR administration, which is often the difference between life and death.

Statistics from the American Heart Association paint a grim picture, with nearly 90% of individuals suffering cardiac arrest outside hospitals not surviving, largely due to the absence of prompt CPR. Five schools were further gifted an AED device, enhancing their capacity to respond to cardiac emergencies.
