Blue Faery Hosts Free Liver Cancer Education Event in Dallas to Empower Community Health Decisions

Blue Faery will host a free educational gathering on September 27, 2025, offering Dallas community members essential information about liver health and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The HCC Lunch & Learn event will take place at Concord Church from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., featuring presentations from UT Southwestern physicians and personal stories from individuals affected by liver cancer.

The event aims to deliver critical knowledge on how liver disease and HCC develop, the role of multidisciplinary care teams, available community resources, and therapeutic options for both transplant-eligible and non-eligible patients. Attendees aged 16 and over will receive a catered lunch while learning about disease prevention and treatment approaches from medical experts.

President Andrea Wilson Woods emphasized the event's purpose, stating that the organization brings expert insight, real stories, and practical hope to the community through shared meals and knowledge exchange.
