Dairy Alliance Partners with 'The Dairy Wife' to Enhance Farm Safety Across Southeast

The Dairy Alliance, a nonprofit organization funded by dairy farm families across the Southeast, has partnered with Katie Hammock, known as "The Dairy Wife," to strengthen farm safety measures throughout the region. This collaboration addresses the critical need for improved safety protocols in dairy farming, which ranks among the nation's most hazardous occupations.

Through this initiative, more than 1,000 specialized Farm Emergency Kits designed specifically for agricultural settings will be distributed to dairy farmers across eight states. These kits, created by Hammock who is both an ER nurse and farm wife, address the unique injuries common in farming operations that standard first aid kits cannot adequately handle. The partnership represents a significant advancement in agricultural safety preparedness.
