Michigan Jeep Enthusiasts Mobilize Support for Domestic Violence Survivors During Awareness Month

The Jeep Babes Enthusiast Club Michigan Chapter will gather from 9:00 a.m. to noon on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Mugs Coffee & Grub in White Lake to collect personal hygiene products, laundry baskets, and Meijer gift cards in an 18-foot trailer for donation to HAVEN. At noon, a 50-vehicle convoy will proceed to HAVEN Headquarters in Pontiac to present the donations alongside funds raised through the club's annual Show and Shine charity event held at Birch Run Speedway on September 19, with all proceeds supporting HAVEN's services for survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual assault.

This initiative occurs during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, emphasizing the continued need for community support. Although reported domestic violence incidents in Michigan have decreased in recent years, cases have become more lethal according to Michigan State Police data, which recorded 68,000 intimate partner violence incidents in 2023. Between 2010 and 2022, reports declined while fatalities from these incidents increased, with lifetime prevalence rates showing a significant portion of Michigan's adult population has experienced intimate partner violence, disproportionately affecting women and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
