At the same time, there are numerous quiet corners, thanks mainly to the extensive canals with little road traffic and a population that loves biking as the main means for moving around the city.
Amsterdam is now one of the greenest capitals in the world. The old city center is formed from canal rings, which give you the feeling of space and freedom. The historic heart of Amsterdam is represented by Piazza Dam and the nearby notorious Red District. But, as you move just a little way out of the most visited areas of Amsterdam, you will be surprised by the quaint atmosphere you find, where tranquility and absolute peace reign, and where the city has a very approachable and unique beauty.
While here, you should not miss a visit to the Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum, a walk through the Red District, a boat tour of the canals, a bicycle ride just like the locals, a herring sandwich from one of many street vendors, and a pause in one of their famous coffee shops. You might even consider a day trip to see the surrounding towns and villages, famous for their iconic windmills.
Two of you will stay in a 4-star hotel for 5 lovely nights right in the city center with breakfast included each morning. The hotel is located near the most important attractions of the city. Discover hidden Amsterdam through a 3-hour private bike tour on one of your days. Experience the city the same way that the locals do, traveling by bike, the national means of transport. Along the way, you will see the beautiful and relaxing city squares, hidden spots, and cozy small bridges, all of which combine to create the authentic charm of Amsterdam. And on another day, you will embark on a 2-hour candlelight boat cruise. The two of you will enjoy the romantic lights of the city as you float through the picturesque canals, giving you a totally different view and perspective of the city. 24 months to travel and booking must be made within 6 months of the event date. Subject to availability. A package redemption voucher will be emailed to the winner and will be needed when contacting the concierge department for booking your travel. Airfare is not included unless otherwise noted. All certificates should be handled with care as they are the same as cash and non-refundable. Cannot be resold. Blackout dates are the weeks of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year and any other periods indicated within the package description.
In the event that the property is booked and subsequently canceled, a rebooking fee will be assessed and paid by the winner. Must be rescheduled more than 3 months out from travel and can only be rebooked one time. Reschedules within 3 months of travel are not allowable.
