Let’s do more good,

Around 2010, founder Heath Hale was asked to fill in as an auctioneer at a charity benefit auction and had never attended a gala before. Its non-profit had a $40,000 fundraising goal and the live auction alone raised more than 4 times the goal. When the Executive Director shared with him that they had helped “save lives here tonight” he was hooked on benefit auctions. It wasn’t long before he developed a genuine passion for raising money to impact those in need.

His work with charities grew and he began consulting charities on how to set their events up to maximize donations. They dug into details and explored new opportunities to help charity partners raise the most money possible. One wildly beneficial resource for his charity clients was consignment, where companies provide discounted packages (travel, memorabilia, experiences, etc.) to charities to help them increase the funds raised and the impact made at their fundraising events.

They began utilizing consignment packages with some of their charity partners and quickly learned that there were great companies out there providing spectacular packages and there were also companies out there that were not taking care of the charity or their donors. They spent a lot of time vetting companies and providing strategic recommendations to charity clients. It was so beneficial, they realized that it could, and should, be a resource available to the entire charity industry. Thus, Charity Ace was born.

Always putting the charity first and letting their individualized needs and the return on investment lead business decisions, Charity Ace can support more people through the incredible work being done by nonprofits across the country.

If you’ve ever wondered what a 4-year-old does for fun, Heath’s answer might surprise you: attending auctions, of course! Born into a family of auctioneers, Heath was captivated by the excitement and energy of the auction world from a very young age. After high school, he followed his passion to America’s Auction Academy in Dallas, Texas, where he earned his auctioneer license and dove headfirst into the auctioneering world. Balancing work and studies, he sold his way through college and proudly graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Finance from Texas State University.

But it wasn’t until a chance gig at a charity auction in 2010 that Heath discovered his true vocation. The event exceeded its fundraising goal by 4 times, and the impact left a lasting impression on Heath. He realized he could use his auctioneering skills to make a bigger difference. Fast forward to today, and with over $300 million raised for charities throughout his career, Heath is committed to making a positive impact. As the founder and president of a non-profit, his dedication is deeply personal. Understanding the challenges charities face in finding reliable consignment packages, Heath founded Charity Ace to aggregate the best consignment packages and offer free consulting to help charities maximize their fundraising efforts while ensuring their most valuable donors have an incredible experience.

For Chris, making a positive impact is not just a goal, but a way of life. Growing up in East Texas and graduating from Texas A&M with an accounting degree, she has turned her 25-year CPA career into a force for good. She has held various controller positions and consulting roles while actively serving on several boards at her children’s schools and sports organizations. Her passion for meaningful causes shines through in all she does, both professionally and in her volunteer efforts. A highlight was chairing a gala that raised $55K for a puppy! 

Chris’s blend of professional expertise and personal passion for volunteering led her to Charity Ace, where she seamlessly merges her skills with her commitment to helping others. When she’s not working, Chris loves to travel with her family. Their adventures have taken them to some of the world’s most beautiful beaches, including The Maldives, Hawaii, and various locations throughout the Caribbean and Central America.

For Jeff, helping charities succeed means passionately tackling challenges without hesitation and always seeking more efficient ways to make a difference. His journey with non-profits began over a decade ago when he helped design and manage an event management software. With hands-on experience at over 250 fundraising events and galas across Texas, he has a deep understanding of what it takes to make these events successful.

Born and raised in Texas, Jeff graduated from Texas State and now calls Austin home. When he’s not busy keeping all the balls in the air when it comes to Charity Ace’s operations, you’ll find him cheering from the sidelines of his kids’ soccer games, enjoying family time, playing video games, or cooking up a storm in the kitchen. For Jeff, every day is a new quest to make the world – and dinner – a little bit better.

A New York native, her passion for giving back has always been the center of what embodies Justina.

A New York native, her passion for giving back has always been the center of what embodies Justina. Her family instilled the core purpose of volunteering and fundraising in the community when she was a child. She has volunteered and worked with various non-profit organizations over the past 15 years assisting in many different areas and skills. Justina loves to multi-task and be the person who wears the “multiple hats” just like her time working in non-profit organizations. So she understands the hard work that directors, administration, and volunteers put into their events and fundraising each day.

When she is not helping the team or charities with their events she is at the beach with her family enjoying the sun and waves, community playgrounds, or baking sweet treats! She also helps fundraise and manage a high school scholarship foundation in memory of her mother who passed away from Breast Cancer in 2012. Her mom showed her the importance of balancing hard work, giving back, and spending time with her family which Justina strives to live by.

Born and raised in Austin, Texas, with an Italian father, it was especially the mix of Italian and American culture in his upbringing that shaped Nico’s open-minded perspective from a young age. This blend sparked his curiosity and passion for learning more about the history, geography, and people/cultures of the world. Having already explored 52 out of 195 UN-recognized countries across five continents, Nico’s life goal is to visit every country in the world. A particularly growth-filled experience was the gap year he took before college to learn Italian in Rome, explore his own roots, and travel extensively on weekends whenever possible.

Growing up around non-profits thanks to his dad’s dedication to charitable work, Nico understands the profound impact that charities have on communities. His personal experience, particularly during his mother’s illness, has further deepened his respect for the non-profit sector. At Charity Ace, he has made it his mission to support charities in their fundraising efforts. When he’s not working or dreaming of his next passport stamp, Nico enjoys spending time with family, watching/playing soccer or basketball with friends, playing chess, and diving into creative writing.

Her career journey has taken her through hotel operations, HR leadership, and executive recruitment for some of the world’s top luxury hospitality brands. Combining her programming and data analytics skills with the warmth and empathy of hospitality, she strives to make the digital world as welcoming as a five-star resort.

Born and raised in Hamburg, Germany, Melissa has called Hawaii home since late 2022. In her free time, she loves exploring scenic hiking trails (armed with snacks and an optimistic sense of direction) and enjoying the ocean waves. Growing up, her parents instilled in her a deep sense of gratitude and a desire to spread happiness wherever she goes. At Charity Ace, she has found her sweet spot, blending her tech-savvy skills with her passion for bringing joy into the world.
